    Would recommend a stay here.

The castle side room was excellent. Modern comforts less the shower, but we had the spa so it was not missed. The restaurant served a quality meal without being overpriced. We enjoyed the rib eye steak precisely cooked to medium rare. The overall combined experience was relaxing and the service was mindful.

Came here for New Year 3-night stay. Overall, a really lovely experience with great food and very polite and attentive staff.

Our room (307) had plumbing problems with the sink being blocked and no light outside the door.

On arrival, our info. package wasn't ready and the room key didn't seem to work - that led to a few trips to and from reception. There was a knack to it eventually and other guests had similar experiences.

Extremely disappointed with our experience last weekend at Airth Castle. Spa day was great but my mother and I didn't sleep a wink all night due to the noise coming from the pipes which ran from the radiator to the bathroom. We checked out at 5.30am so we could get home to our own beds and were told we'd get a call that day from the Duty Manager re. our complaint! No call!! Wrote a letter of complaint on the Monday which they would have received on the Tuesday.... No response! Hate leaving bad reviews but they've had two chances to get back to me and failed to do so. Our weekend was ruined and the subsequent customer service was abysmal.

Was not a patch on last year's lunch with santa. Hardly any decorations, freezing cold dining room. Staff weren't really listening and took an age to bring drinks despite not being busy. Pretty much all the food was measly portions or cold. Pudding consisted of coulis frozen solid to the plate. One redeeming feature was Santa was nice.

As an improvement, would advise investment in new decor and placing guests needs on the same level as wedding guests. Also - an extra lounge or two could add some variety.

Still - the good far outweighs the bad and it was a fun experience with many sociable guests and we had fun.

Local staff and investment on people is obviously a high priority and the local economy is boosted by tourism. It's great to see local young people working in an industry they are training in.

Great staff, very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The grounds are very pretty and not overly manicured. Sadly I didn't use the spa, pool or gym but they looked very inviting. Will most definitely visit again.

The spa & pool is good. The decor looks a bit shabby and carpets need replacing.

The location is great, we took a cab into Stirling and found it fun (Haggis is amazing there!). Falkirk is within driving distance and the hotel is easily reached via Glasgow or Edinburgh.

The old kirk and castle is worth seeing if you are in the main hotel part and the castle hosts weddings.
